Human Genomics and Proteomics (HGP) is an open access, peer-reviewed international journal, affiliated with the FINDbase database that provides a unique forum for the discussion of research on human genomics and proteomics, systems biology and various aspects of personalized medicine. The Journal will seek high quality original and review articles comprising research on human genomics and proteomics or innovative methodological and bioinformatics/resource papers that enable the practice of personalized medicine.
Human Genomics and Proteomics (e-ISSN: 1757-4242) was launched on Saturday 31st May 2008 at the Human Genome Variation Society symposium “How to Explore Human Genotype to Phenotype Relationships”, a satellite event of the European Society of Human Genetics 2008 meeting, Barcelona, Spain www.hgvs.org/Barcelona08.
The launch included a presentation, given by Dr. George Patrinos, Erasmus University Medical Center, the Netherlands, Editor of the journal, “National/Ethnic Mutation Databases: Recording Populations Genography” that will form the basis of a subsequent scientific paper to be published.
